How To Say Thanks With A Smile

Few days back an interesting slogan caught the eye, it went something like this, “A smile is a curve that sets things straight so keep smiling to such an extent that you might be blessed with poker straight hair instead of those ruddy curls”. The statement though hilarious carries an important message, the message of love and care. It is just with the exercising of sixteen facial muscles that a smile can flash across a face and brighten up the most mundane and pathos filled atmospheres.

The word Smile also stirs memories of one’s school life were apart from learning and singing the song.’ Have You Got the sunshine S M I L E ?” one spent the most memorable moments of one’s life and whenever the train of thought ventures in those lanes lost under time and duress one is bound to smile as one is assailed by memories of days gone by. The smile has almost become spontaneous with the recollection and reminiscence of school or college’s fun filled and carefree days. These are occasions when an individual smiles to himself or by a vision that is private and sacred, not shares by all and sundry; but man is a social animal and he cannot live in isolation.

Some times it is the kind of association with others that brings a sense of happiness resulting in a smile. A smile is a symbol of happiness, gaiety and festivity, its sweetness lingers in the human mind even long after it’s fading. Many poets have composed myriad poems on the celestial smile of various individuals who may have left their mark or impact on the poet’s mind. A thank you is invariably associated with this expansion of facial muscles. When a thank you is offered in lieu of any emotion or service or gift it is inevitably accompanied with a broad and warm smile which binds the two people in a close knit relationship.
