Thank You

The most quintessential element of English and for that matter of any language is this word “Thanks”. No language can ever be complete or rather can ever exist without the inclusion of this word which is of paramount importance. The word within a language is capable enough to elevate that particular language to its highest degree of excellence but bereft of the inclusion of this word within its diction it leaves the language like an exquisite yet destitute lady.

A child in the primary days of schooling is made to go through various school homilies, the most significant amongst it are the Value Education classes. These lifestyle classes are inclusive of the school curriculum because the guiding objective behind their imparting is to perform the tasks of man-making and character-building along with the general pursuit of academics. A socially aware school lays sufficient amount of stress and importance even on these classes because they are the preparatory stages for the al-round or holistic development of the child. The most important lesson that is taught in these classes is that of the “three Magical Words”. To appeal to the intelligence and fantasy of a 7-8 year old child, “Please, Sorry and Thank you” are presented in a different light to the child’s imagination. Our area of concern is the third magical word “Thank You”. The training to use this word is imparted to the young individual from such a tender age so that it successfully leaved an indelible mark on the child’s personality. The impressionability of the age is such that in course of time the individual starts using the word with such genuinity and naturalness that it seems it is but his second nature.

The use of this word at the right time leads to the correct corresponding effect on the target. It gives the individual the tag of being polite and courteous in society. It might just be two words strung together but the weight-age that they carry and the emotions that they embody are far greater than their word count.
