Ways of Saying Thank You
It is an old adage that says that “where force fails, love prevails’ and the word thank you being synonymous with the concept of love, we can fearlessly say that wherever it is used it lends that moment its unique charm. The word thank you though is only an eight lettered word yet it encapsulates gallons of power and strength within it. This Olympian amount of strength is enforced within it through the intangible process of feelings and emotions. Or in other words the strength of a thank you lies in the intensity of emotion and sincerity with which it is delivered.
A case in point is that of the famous scientist and discoverer of Penicillin, Alexander Fleming whose education was sponsored by John Churchill, father of U.K. President Winston Churchill. Alexander had once rescued young Winston from a life-threatening situation without paying any heed to his own safety and John Churchill being extremely impressed by this act of bravery, heroism and more of humanism, in tremendous act of gratitude sponsored the education of young Alexander. In return for this act of generosity, his son Winston was saved from a fatal disease due to the use of antibiotics discovered by Alexander whose education he had once sponsored. This example shows that a Thank You may be manifested in various forms. It further lays stress on the fact that what goes around also comes back. It reinforces the idea that the good done is always rewarded, sometimes it has an abstract form such as verbal recognition in the form of a thank you, whereas sometimes it is manifested in concretized form as in the case of Winston Churchill and Alexander Fleming.
In the present world the forms of a thank you have taken precedence over the actual practice of saying thank you and with the progress of time the sacred and sacrosanct word is being manifested in more perverted forms such as bribery.
